My DEFCON Experience
So yeah, I’m guessing if you saw the site title / my name you can guess I’m a furry. We’re here too, after all if all the furries disappeared the internet may disappear too. At DEFOCN there are plenty of groups that help organize like minded people such as LHC, Lonely Hackers Club, that helps new people get out there at events, lunches, dinners, and even resume assistance and interviews at the con. Or if your a furry there is DCFurs(DEFCON Furs) that has a room for their own talks, parties and merch that goes to a yearly charity. There may be more but those are the only two I saw / joined.
Overall I had a great time at DEFCON, I went to villages, tried new things, didn’t do any challenges this year, and didn’t goto talks as alot of them will be online in a few weeks after. There is a challenge for the official badge that I poked at, and even one for the DCFurs badge. I met new people and made some firends.
Honestly I drank too much and spent a bit more than I should’ve but it was worth it.
I Find the easiest way to have fun at DEFCON is to just do whatever you want todo, just dont hack unwilling people or things, and dont be an ass. They will kick you out.
